The Otaku Collectors Corner
Apologies for that oversight. Let me include your commentary about the assignment: For my capstone project in pursuit of my eProduction associate degree, I created, scripted, and produced a mini-series titled "Otaku Collectors Corner." This series delved into the world of anime collectibles, catering to enthusiasts who are passionate about both anime and collecting. The project was assigned as part of my coursework, aiming to create a mini YouTube series focusing on specific topics or interests. Given my love for anime, collecting anime goods, and studying fans who interact with the IP through various avenues, this seemed like a perfect fit. The first episode explores the world of Lupin III, focusing on a limited edition Lupin III watch released in 2015 to celebrate the return of the TV series after a 30-year hiatus. As an avid collector and anime lover, I personally delved into the design elements of the watch that bring the anime series to life, offering background information for viewers unfamiliar with the series. In the second episode, the series shifts its focus to the world of Fate/Stay Night, examining a pair of glasses inspired by the series' heroine Rin Tosaka. Released in 2018 in collaboration with Shitsuji Megane Eye Mirror, Type-Moon, and Ufotable, these glasses are explored for their design elements that evoke the anime's essence. Partnering with PBS and MATC, this project aimed to create engaging content for anime enthusiasts, collectors, and fans alike. Through meticulous scripting and production, the series sought to cater to viewers who share a passion for anime, collecting, and the cultural significance of these interests.
